The Ripsurfer X is a surfboard-inspired training tool designed to mimic the movements of water. The introduction of an unstable surface improves balance, coordination, and proprioception--the body's awareness of it's position in three-dimensional space. Training on the Ripsurfer X is an excellent way to condition for board sports like surfing, stand up paddle boarding, and snowboarding but it is also a fun way for anyone to experience body control in a challenging environment. Classes focus on increasing agility, balance, core strength and joint stabilization. As participants' skills increase, plyometric exercises and interval training are introduced into the workouts, providing aerobic and anaerobic challenges to the cardiovascular system and more power output from the arms and legs.
